Courtney Villari was born and raised in Oak Park, Illinois, where her deep connection to the community began. She continued all her education here before attending the University of Wisconsin–Madison for her undergraduate degree. She returned to pursue her dental education at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry, where she received both a Bachelor of Science in Dentistry and Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degrees.

Dr. Castellanos is a Chicago native, born and raised in the Portage Park neighborhood. She attended Trinity High School in River Forest, where she was a three-sport athlete. She continued her education at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, earning her Bachelor of Science degree while playing Division I softball. Dr. Castellanos later earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
